The Lower Macungie Fire Department operates out of 3 stations that proudly serves over 35,000 people. Our department is a public department, whose members are on a 100% volunteer status.

LMFD was originally founded as the Wescosville Fire Company. As population of the township spread and needs grew, the department reformed as the Lower Macungie Fire Department.
